Local Pyrite Action Group Call For Confirmation That Clare Will Be Included In Redress Scheme From Outset

The Clare Pyrite Action Group is calling on the Minister for Housing to provide written confirmation that this county will be able to access the Defective Concrete Block scheme from the outset.

Cabinet signed off on the redress scheme in June and its expansion to include Clare and Limerick – bringing the total cost to €2.7bn.

Clare County Council was briefed by the Department of Housing that the scheme would open for applications at the end of this first quarter of this year, however key qualifying criteria for this county have yet to be clarified.
