Local Charity Fears Clare Families With Seriously Ill Children Suffering Adversely From Cost Of Living Rises

The founder of a MidWest-based charity fears that families in Clare with seriously ill children are suffering adversely from the rising cost of living.

Brendan Ring and his wife Teri founded Clíona’s Foundation following the passing of their daughter from an inoperable brain tumour in 2006 when she was just 16.

The charity has helped over 1,000 families nationally – including 30 in Clare – since it’s inception with the financial pressures of caring for a child with a life-limiting condition.

Brendan fears that they may not be able to cope with the increased demand for their help as the rate of inflation continues to soar.
