Lisdoonvarna Councillor Says Wild Atlantic Way Has Led To North Clare Areas Being Overlooked

A Lisdoonvarna Councillor believes the focus of tourism policy on the Wild Atlantic Way has led to towns and villages in the North of the county being overlooked.

A meeting of representatives from the West Clare municipal district has heard how the local authority and Failte Ireland should focus on reimagining the likes of Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora and Corofin as a priority.

The areas have been included in the recently unveiled Burren Discovery Trail.
