Nurses at Limerick Regional’s Accident and Emergency Department have called on local TDs to back their calls for better conditions at the hospital.
It comes as nurses prepare to travel to Dublin today for a protest outside the Dail – they’re also due to hand in letters outlining their ongoing concerns to the head of the HSE, the Health Minister and the Taoiseach.

Nursing unions have pointed out that the demonstration will have no impact on services in the MidWest, as the 50 expected demonstrators are travelling on their own time.
