A leading childcare provider in Clare says she feels the profession is being disrespected by the State.
It comes as the Government is looking at ways to cut the cost of living in October’s budget, with suggestions that universal childcare subsidies could be on the cards.

Other potential moves include the expansion of early childhood care and education programme hours for children, along with measures in relation to remote working.
Maureen Keane, who’s Manager of the Clare Family Resource Centre in Ennis, says greater supports for the industry are needed urgently.
