A large fire at an industrial unit in Shannon has now been largely brought under control.
Two units of Shannon Fire Service were dispatched to Thermo King in the Shannon Industrial Estate after 2:00 this afternoon, to what was described by Fire Control as an industrial roof fire.

Smoke from the blaze was visible for miles, and the fire attracted much attention on social media.
However, there were no injuries and fire personnel were able to effectively extinguish the blaze after a short time.
