A Clare woman competing at the World Transplant Games in Germany is already bringing two medals home.
Marie O’Connor from Lahinch had to undergo two life saving kidney transplants in 1996 and 1998 following a viral infection.

51 countries compete in the games and so far Marie has claimed a gold medal in darts and a bronze in Petanque , with the results of her strongest event golf still to be determined.
She’s been telling Clare FM’s Morning Focus that the biggest prize is being able to compete.
