A Kilrush Councillor is hitting out at the Health Minister, who has announced extended out of hours GP services in his native Wicklow.

Simon Harris has made the announcement on social media, just weeks after it was confirmed that Shannondoc services in East and West Clare are to be scaled back.
Councillor Ian Lynch says there's increasing anger in rural Clare over cuts to services and amenities, with many feeling unable to raise families there due to a lack of facilities.
He's been telling me it appears the Government isn't taking the needs of rural Ireland seriously, and is encouraging Clare's Oireachtas representatives to work together for the future of Out Of Hours GP services here.
