One of Clare’s MEP’s is calling on the European Commission to strenghten its enforcement of online safety regulations to protect young people online.
New statistics show that almost 60% of children aged between eight and 12 have experienced harmful or inappropriate content when online.

Former GAA President Sean Kelly has identified the unhealthy actions of online influencers, loot boxes in video games and targeted ads as some of the major sticking points of safe online activity.
He says children often fall victim to a system which was not initially designed with their usage in mind.
