Kilrush Councillor Gabriel Keating says he’s not disappointed despite missing out on an opportunity to contest the Seanad elections
The Fine Gael representative had been put forward by the Clare VEC to seek the nomination of the Irish Vocational Education Association.
However, the national body has decided to give their backing to a Galway Councillor instead.

Councillor Keating says his priority now will be to work as a member of Clare County Council for the people of the Kilrush electoral area, and says he doesn’t mind missing out.
