The Emigrant Flame travelled from New York on board an Aer Lingus flight and now been transferred to the Naval Service who will bring it to New Ross in Co Wexford on board the LE Orla.
It’s being used at a ceremony there on Saturday to mark 50 years since President Kennedy’s visit to Ireland in June 1963.
