Irish Water Seeks To End Discharge Of Sewerage At Clarecastle

Irish Water has unveiled its plans to end the discharge of raw sewerage into the River Fergus at Clarecastle.

The company is proposing to construct a new 1.9 km rising main and other upgrades to the existing pumping station at Clare Abbey.

Most of the works will take place next year, and the state utility will host an information event on the project in Clarecastle next week.
