Irish Beef Premium Status In US ‘Significant’ Ahead Of Brexit

The Clare County Chairman of the IFA has described a deal allowing Irish beef to be sold in the US as a premium brand as significant in the face of Brexit.

Meat from selected farms here can be stamped with the official D-A seal of approval.

The deal was reached after three years of talks between American Agriculture bosses and Bord Bia and marks the start of a week-long trade mission to the United States by the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed.
