The interim Garda Commissioner says Martin Callinan's use of the word disgusting was "unfortunate".

The former Commissioner, who resigned earlier this month, made the comment in reference to the actions of the Garda whistleblowers.
Noirin O'Sullivan says the remark was Martin Callinan's personal opinion, which he is entitled to.
The interim Commissioner also says the force has to be more accepting of internal dissent.
