It’s estimated around 5,500 premises in Clare will be ‘up and running’ under the National Broadband Plan by the end of 2023.

The news comes after fears were expressed about the potential slowing of the rollout of the plan caused by the pandemic, with National Broadband Ireland saying it’s currently six months behind schedule.

NBI say more than 10,000 premises have been surveyed in Clare so far, which is nearly half of the total number in this county that will fall under the plan’s remit.
