An increase in the number of new homes built in Clare this year is in line with the national average.

Official figures outlined in today's Irish Independent find that 154 houses were built here between January and June.
This is an 18% increase when compared with same time last year, and broadly in line with the national average.
However, Clare does trail behind all other counties in Munster, while there has been a notable drop in parts of Dublin.
