The average rent in Clare is now 106% higher than at it’s lowest point.
In the first quarter of this year, tenants in the Banner forked out on average €1,109 per month for accommodation – a 14.1% increase on the same time last year.
It currently costs approximately €975 a month to rent a three-bed property in Clare, however a mortgage for a house of the same size is only €581 – a price difference of over 50%.

The largest price discrepancy in the county, comes in the rental cost of a 5-bedroom house which this year would cost you nearly €1,600 – 40% more than the first quarter of 2021.
