A West Clare Councillor is hopeful a dedicate air ambulance landing location will be established in Kilkee by next summer.
The Irish Community Air Ambulance was tasked to 11 missions in Clare during the first three months of this year, which was the fifth highest in the country.
Clare County Council has told local representatives it is to open discussions with the Coast Guard and air ambulance services and look at potential landing options in the area.
