A former President of the Irish Hotels Federation is expressing confidence that Clare hotels will not be as exposed to the impact of Brexit as other counties.
It comes as an industry barometer published by the federation has outlined that nine out of ten hotels in Ireland are concerned, facing into Brexit next year.
While there has been growth in the sector this year, sentiment among business owners has dropped significantly and there’s been a 5% fall in visitors from the UK market.
North American and European visitors, meanwhile, have risen, which is helping to offset that impact.
