Work Underway To Reschedule Hospital Appointments Affected By Medical Scientists Strike

The UL Hospitals Group says work is underway to reschedule all patients affected by indusrtrial action by members of the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association.

Over 2,000 medical scientists across the country are returning to work as normal this morning, after cancelling a third planned work stoppage at the last minute.

All sides are holding talks in the Labour Court today.

There will continue to be disruption today however, with the UL Hospitals Group saying every effort is being made to reinstate as many procedures as possible at their six hospitals across Clare and Limerick.

Patients are being advised to follow the most recent communication they have received in relation to their appointment.
