Steering Group Recommend Urgent Care Centre For University Hospital Limerick

A new ‘Urgent Care Centre’ has been recommended for University Hospital Limerick as part of efforts to alleviate overcrowding.

The recommendation is contained in a new draft plan from a Midwest steering group formed to look at the issue.

Similar facilities are being developed to ease overcrowding issues in the UK, in order to reduce demand for A&E services.
