Concern ShannonDoc Letter Is Reminiscent Of Last Major Plan To Cut Back Services

Concern has emerged that language used in a leaked letter on the future of ShannonDoc in West Clare is reminiscent of the last major cutback in services.

The letter, which has been seen by Clare FM, indicates that from September 1st, there will be option but to run a reduced number of overnight centres.

The Chair of ShannonDoc, Dr Pat Morrissey has downplayed concerns over the contents of the letter, saying it merely amounts to a contingency plan and has reiterated that they have no plans for a scaled back service.
