75-Minute Wait For Ambulance In West Clare Prompts Fresh Concern

Fresh concerns are being expressed about long waiting times for ambulance services in West Clare.

It’s after a casualty was understood to have waited 75 minutes for an ambulance to arrive to a serious incident in the area earlier this week, with HIQA recommending a 20 minute turnaround for all callouts.

The National Ambulance Service is currently undertaking a Capacity Review Report for the region, which is due to completed before the end of March.
