72 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

Nurses are warning the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital remains extremely high today.

The latest INMO figures show 72 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 41 of those on trolleys in the emergency department,.

The overall figures is down from 80 yesterday, but the Dooradoyle facility remains the busiest in the country.

It comes on a day when 640 patients have been left without a beds at our country’s hospitals – that being the second highest total figure since the beginning of the year.
