69 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

Hospital trolleys

Trolley numbers have dipped slightly at the region’s main hospital today, though nurses say University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcrowded in the country.

The latest INMO figures show 69 patients were left waiting for beds at the Dooradoyle facility this morning, 43 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is 17 more than the next busiest facilities – nurses at both University Hospital Galway and Cork University Hospital recorded 46 on trolleys there today.
