Green Leader Says Lack Of Ballycar Progress “Undermining Confidence In Public Transport”

The Leader of the Green Party says the lack of progress in delivering a flood defence on the Ennis to Limerick rail line is undermining confidence in public transport.

Former Transport Minister Eamon Ryan had promised funding for a flood solution at Ballycar within the lifetime of the previous coalition.

It’s understood the Ballycar Steering Group which includes the Department of Transport, the OPW, Clare County Council and Irish Rail only reconvened in July.

Roderic O’Gorman’s told Clare FM’s Morning Focus he will be pursuing the matter.
