Efforts to secure a full-time doctor for the community of Kildysart and surrounding areas have proven successful.

Dr Marie Quigney, who is currently a member of the medical team at the Saffron and Blue Medical Clinic in Clareabbey will take up a new post in the West Clare town on February 1st.
The community has been served by a part-time locum doctor since the passing of it's resident GP a year and a half ago.
Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen is welcoming the appointment.
