The Government is facing pressure to urgently improve the suitability and allocation of Special Needs Assistants in Clare schools.
It follows controversy over an ongoing SNA review, which has since been paused, after a number of schools were informed they could lose posts from next year.

The Department of Education has pledged, however, to increase the number of SNA’s nationally to beyond 25,000 by the end of this year.
Whitegate Mother Anne Malone who spent years fighting to secure an SNA for her daughter, says supports are stretched far too thin.
