Government urged to speed up process of local reform ahead of 2014 elections

The government has been urged to speed up the process of drawing up electoral boundaries for the 2014 local elections, in order to allow for new entrants to politics.

The Environment Minister has appointed a committee to decide on the exact composition of Clare’s electoral areas, with a final decision expected by the end of next May.
