The government is being warned that a crisis in the insurance sector isn’t something that’s coming down the line – it’s here now.
It comes as issues with insurance cover has forced the cancellation of the popular donkey derby event at Sunday’s family fun day ahead of the Spancil Hill Fair.
While the fair will go ahead as planned otherwise, it’s cast fresh light on the issue of rising insurance costs on the events sector, with other festivals falling by the wayside in recent years.
