Former Mayor of Limerick John Gilligan believes the decision by Roy Collins’s family to leave the country was ‘inevitable’.
Roy Collins was shot dead in Limerick three years ago – and yesterday it emerged his parents and family have begun a new life as part of the State’s Witness Relocation Programme.

They’d been under armed Garda protection since Roy’s death.
