Gardai investigating the killing of Eddie Hutch Snr in Dublin on Monday night are awaiting forensic test results on the getaway car used by his killers.

The 59 year-old was shot dead when four masked gunmen entered into his house on Poplar Row in North Strand shortly before 8 o'clock.
It's believed his killing was in retaliation for the murder of David Byrne at Drumcondra's Regency Hotel on Friday.

He says it's understood gardaí have identified some of those involved in the killing of David Byrne.
And, the results of DNA and forensic tests on the getaway car – used in the killing of Eddie Hutch – will also be available to gardai shortly.
