Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run incident in West Clare.
A woman in her 30s was struck by a car in Lissycasey on Wednesday night last week between 8.30 and 9.30pm, while she was walking on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road.
She was subsequently brought by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where she received treatment for her injuries.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan is appealing for the public’s assistance regarding the hit and run collision.
“Gardaí are continuing their investigation into this incident and believe that the vehicle involved is a red Ford Focus hatchback.
“If you were in Lissycasey village last Wednesday evening and observed a red Ford Focus hatchback or if you were driving on the Ennis to Kilrush Road and have a Dash camera in your vehicle, please contact Kilrush Garda Station,” said Sergeant Holohan.
