Gardaí investigating what they’ve described as a "ruthless burglary" on the West Clare home of two elderly sisters believe there was local involvement in the crime.
The women’s house in Kildimo, Moyasta was targeted by up to three masked men shortly after 10.30 last Saturday night when they were in bed.

The culprits threatened and verbally abused the sisters – who are in their 80’s before ripping the phone from the wall and escaping with around 100 euro in cash.
