Gardaí are questioning two people over an incident at a housing estate in Ennis last night, they believe may be connected to yesterday’s row in the carpark of Ennis Cathedral.
The men were detained after a van was damaged at a premises in the Mayville Estate shortly before half eight.
Earlier a 16 year old boy suffered facial injuries , while a man sustained a blow to the head during a row in the carpark of the cathedral where members of the travelling community were attending a wedding.
Gardaí recovered a number of weapons including a slash hook and a Stanley type knife.
Inspector John Galvin of Ennis Garda Station is urging anyone who may have witnessed the brawl to come forward.
