There are further signs today of some recovery in the property market.
The price of houses and apartments increased during the year to the end of July – by two point three per cent.

It compares to a fall in values of 13 point six per cent – during the same period last year. In the year to the end of June – property prices recorded their first annual growth in five years.
However, the Central Statistics Office says overall values are still 49 per cent lower than at the peak in 2007.
