The two-day funeral for the late leader of North Korea is underway in the capital city Pyongyang.
Footage shows tens of thousands of soldiers with their heads bowed as a giant portrait of Kim Jong Il was carried slowly through the streets.

He died of a heart attack on December 17th, at the age of 69 and has been lying in state since then.
Kim’s son Kim Jong-Un will now become the new leader of the country.
