Funding Limits Plans For Ennis Bus Service

The National Transport Authority says funding constraints mean it cannot progress its ambitions for better bus services in Clare.

The NTA has told the Oireachtas Transport Committee that while it wants to introduce better bus services in Clare, it does not have the money required to bring forward any new bus services this year.

An dedicated bus service for the town of Ennis has been pursued by a number of local representatives over recent years, who say the town’s size justifies such a service.
