Full Steam Ahead For Shannon Rail Link Says Irish Rail CEO

The CEO of Irish Rail has expressed confidence that it’s full steam ahead for a rail link for Shannon Airport.

The infrastructure is one of the elements contained in the Government’s 165 billion euro National Development Plan for the next ten years, which was unveiled earlier this week.

It’s part of the overall Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy and the National Transport Authority has already agreed to fund a study examining the cost, design and staging plan for delivery of the project.
