Former Mayor Of Clare Concerned By Lack Of Urgency By Uisce Eireann On Boil Water Notices

A former Mayor of Clare is expressing concern over what he’s described as a lack of urgency by Uisce Eireann to lift local boil water notices.

Homes and businesses served by the Killaloe water supply have been told to boil water before use for almost six weeks now, with the alert issued on September 17th, due to operational issues affecting chlorination at the plant.

Uisce Eireann insists measures are progressing to lift the notice as quickly and as safely as possible.
