Former Clare Minister Urges Swift Action For Shannon Airport

A former Clare government Minister is urging swift action to ensure Shannon Airport bounces back from its current difficulties.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus today, Brendan Daly suggested that capital funding recently announced for the Airport should be invested in facilities to allow for increased aircraft maintenance.

But during the interview, the former Fianna Fáil representative stressed his view that decisions need to be taken swiftly so that jobs are protected now, and allowing the Airport to a key driver of the economic recovery.
