Students of an Ennis secondary school insist they won’t give up the fight to have a bus shelter installed outside the school grounds.
The Student Council of St Flannan’s College has lobbied school management, Clare County Council and the National Transport Authority for a structure to be erected beside the school gates on College View to shield bus users from the elements.
The issue has been raised at a recent meeting of Ennis Municipal District by Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy who was told that it’s a matter either for the school or the Department of Education
Student Council member Aoibheann O’Dwyer Forde says there’s broad consensus that a shelter is essential.
