FF Clare Candidates To Be Selected In Coming Weeks

Fianna Fail expects its Clare candidates for the upcoming general election to be selected in the coming weeks.

A party spokesperson has told Clare FM that its National Constituencies Committee have been consulting with local officials, but there's still no date for their selection convention.

It's expected that Fianna Fáil will also confirm its number of candidates when this is decided, but there's still no confirmation about the party's planned strategy, as it looks to regain a second seat here.

Five election hopefuls want their names on the party ticket – TD Timmy Dooley, Michael McDonagh, Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy, Rita McInerney and Dr. John Hillery who thinks clarity is needed sooner rather than later.
