A family of young children are said to be traumatised following an alleged attack which saw a pigeon being beat to death in Ennis over the weekend.
It’s understood, five young people, one of whom was wielding a stick, beat the bird to death near the town centre on Saturday.

According to Clare’s County Dog Warden, the incident took place in direct view of the kids who were admiring the animal.
Frankie Coote, says the family was deeply disturbed by the experience.
