Lying Eyes Sharon Collins from the Kildysart Road in Ennis sent shock waves across the country after it emerged she hired a hitman on the internet to murder her partner PJ Howard and his sons Robert and Niall in order to be the sole beneficiary of their 60 million euro property empire.

She’s still serving a 6 year sentence and awaiting the outcome of her appeal against that conviction.

Her bizarre plans came to light after the would be-hitman Essam Eid  approached Robert Howard demanding 100,000 euro to buy out the contract on his life and those of his father and brother, prompting Mr Howard to contact Gardaí.

Mr Eid was convicted of extortion and handling stolen goods –  but found Not Guilty on murder conspiracy charges following one of the longest criminal trials in the history of the state in 2008.

In custody since his first arrest in 2006 – Essam Eid will be released from Limerick Prison on Monday.
