The ESB is warning about the serious consequences of swimming in its South East Clare reservoir during the warm weather spell.
With improving weather expected over the coming months, the utility is reminding the general public of the dangers and potentially serious consequences of swimming at Arndnacrusha.

It’s warning that uneven ground, deep waters, changing water levels, and fast-flowing waters there create a very dangerous environment for swimmers.
Senior Manager of Hydro Operations, Martin Stronge says “to ensure your safety and the safety of others, always choose safer swimming locations such as swimming pools or beaches with designated lifeguards”.
