Plans have been unveiled for a solar panel development in south Clare.
ESB Telecoms Limited is seeking planning permission to install solar panels on a steel frame structure on the site of the Drumline Substation on the outskirts of Shannon.

The structure would be erected over the roof of an existing telecommunications cabin covering an area of roughly 48 square metres and would have a maximum height of 4.8 metres above ground level.
The application includes ancillary development works as well landscaping to the southwest of the compound and submissions can be made up until March 30th with a decision to be reached by the local authority by April 20th.
