ESB Accused Of “Disregarding The People” Of Clare Over Public Lighting Outages

ESB has been accused of “disregarding the people” amid continued reports of public lighting outages across Clare.

East Clare is the latest part of the county where streetlight blackouts have been observed, following similar complaints in Shannon, Ennis and various other communities in recent months.

Killaloe Municipal District has stated that many public streetlights in Clare are “dated” and don’t “comply with current ESB standards”, with additional works necessary to ensure “uninterrupted access to the council public lighting infrastructure” going forward.
