More Patients On Trolleys AT UHL Today Than All 10 Eastern Hospitals Combined

Nurses say there were more people on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today, than in all ten of the hospitals in the east of the country combined.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 110 admitted patients on trolleys at the region’s main hospital during morning rounds, 49 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 45 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital and 10 more than all ten of the Eastern hospitals combined.
