Ennis Ukrainian Native Concerned Refugees Will Be Unable To Source Accommodation In Clare Rental Market

A Ukrainian woman living in Ennis claims the new government supports for refugees from her country are a positive step.

As part of measures signed off by cabinet this week, new Ukrainian arrivals will have to their weekly welfare rate cut from €220 to the standard Asylum Seeker rate of €38.80.

Additionally state accommodation will only be provided to Ukrainian refugees for ninety days and after this, they will have to source their own, however the higher welfare rate would then be restored.
